She is excited to get back into the preschool classroom where she will teach life skills in social emotional situations as well as prepare our 4 year olds for Kindergarten readiness. Her classroom culture is bright and inviting!!

She can’t wait to have a blast learning shapes, colors, letters, numbers through song and dance, as well as exploration through STEAM hands-on activities!

EARLY Pre-K Lead teacher

Baylie Sawicki

Baylie has worked in childcare since she was 16 and absolutely fell in love with everything about it! From daycare to public school, she has done it all.

Baylie had been going to Ivy Tech for her associates degree in primary education, but took a break from her education when she got married and had a little boy of her own! She has partially completed her CDA and will be finishing it to help better her teaching skills with children. Baylie is so excited to start this new adventure as the early preschool teacher! She will be helping them hands on and teaching them the basics-such as ABCs, colors, shapes, and numbers!

Two's Lead Teacher

Britta Bindner

Britta has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish with a minor in psychology and is currently working towards a Masters in Education. She has two years experience as an early childhood Montessori teacher where she taught ages 2-6. She continues to use a Montessori approach to teaching and is excited to utilize her knowledge of early childhood development and education.

TODDLER Lead Teacher

Kristian Broy

Kristian is currently working to obtain her Child Development Associates (CDA). She has 2 years of catholic school experience with ages 2 to 5. In the classroom she enjoys teaching art, music, hands-on learning and play. She is excited to dive deep into a ocean of possibilities with the Toddlers at Maple Leaf.

Infant lead teacher

Lisa Wood

Ms. Lisa has three years of experience in Early Childhood Education, and also has four kids of her own (Fun Fact: her middle kids are twins). She is nearly complete with her CDA. She is a firm believer that hands on learning and learning through play is the best method of teaching, and also believes that reading to our children at an early age is important as well. Her weekly lesson plans will be based on what each child likes to do and likes to play with. She is very excited to have the opportunity to be part of Maple Leaf Academy and even more excited to get to teach the Seedlings.

STEAM Coordinator

She graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington, in 1982 majoring in Elementary Education with a Reading Minor. In 1989, Polly completed her Masters in Elementary Education.

At Maple Leaf Academy, Polly is the STEAM teacher. She brings many activities from her 18 years experiences in kindergarten centers. She is excited and proud to be part of a new venture with Maple Leaf Academy.
