Volunteer

Volunteers are always welcome!

Volunteers help make our mission possible by engaging in a variety of activities such as helping with hands-on activities, attending community events, or reading to children. We acknowledge and respect that time is a valuable and limited resource to ask someone to freely give. We welcome volunteers to participate in as few or as many hours as they wish.

Volunteer Opportunities include:

• CELEBRITY READERS bring the community together to promote early literacy to children. The program commitment is to simply visit with a class at Maple Leaf Academy and read a book. Celebrity Readers have the flexibility to read on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis.

• WEEKEND CHILD CARE MAKEOVERS help with the maintenance of our facilities including painting, refurbishing playgrounds, gardening and more. Your organization can help us by volunteering your time to help with these tasks. This is a great and easy way to volunteer your time and improve Maple Leaf Academy for the children who attend. We also welcome businesses to help on an ongoing basis.

• OFFICE ASSISTANTS AND INTERNS are needed to assist staff with daily office duties and any other special projects

• FUNDRAISING is always welcomed. If you have a fundraising idea we would love to hear it!

Maple Leaf Academy requires all volunteers to attend an orientation session and complete a background screen before being placed.
