STRIVE ACADEMY AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM

Kindergarten-5th Grade

Strive Academy is and extension of Maple Leaf Academy offering a STEAM approach to after-school programming. Open to all elementary students, Strive Academy goes beyond tutoring and homework help with the following STEAM opportunities:

• • Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Lab
    Students learn how things work and how they are engineered from a scientific perspective, which improves and develops critical skills needed for workplaces of the future like problem-solving, collaboration communication. We take a hands-on, solutions-based approach that ignites children’s natural desire to explore and discover.

  • Critical Thinking Reading Lab*
    Allows students to work on language, writing and research skills using computers and interactive activities like video games to teach concepts and vocabulary techniques.
    * Note: This is an open grade environment

  • Intro to Biotechnology and the Future of Medicine Lab
    Maple Leaf brings the Periodic Table to Life for all age levels with exciting card games and character demonstrations using the various elements.

  • Intro to Video Gaming and Coding Lab
    Maple Leaf’s Video Gaming and Coding Lab represents a cool opportunity for kids to learn to code and play video games, work on projects, and develop gaming concepts and applications for both learning and fun.

  • LEGO Design and  Engineering Lab (Pre school—5th Grade)
    Math, science, critical thinking and group problem solving are fully integrated in this lab using timeless materials children around the globe have loved for years—LEGO bricks!

  • Mathematics and Engineering Lab
    Our methodology ties real world into exercises that challenge kids to think through math problems and work in collaboration with small groups of fellow classmates.
